Many of our clients are answering the call in their states’ efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. This unprecedented time has created a new set of challenges. Nevertheless, our clients’ collective ingenuity is resulting in much-needed care to their fellow Americans. I’d like to share with you an anecdote that is illustrative of the support we have been providing to our customers during this historic time.
The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs (NJ DCA) rapidly deployed 17 emergency reinstatements online for retired healthcare workers to quickly rejoin the fight against COVID-19:
New Jersey has the second highest number of cases and deaths from COVID-19 in the nation. To support their response to the COVID-19 pandemic, NJ DCA needs as many healthcare workers as they can get. Governor Murphy wanted to implement emergency online reactivations for healthcare workers whose licenses were inactive, retired, or recently expired. System Automation partnered with NJ DCA to configure online reactivation processes for 17 license types, as well as the configuration of three new temporary healthcare license types for nurses and foreign doctors, within days of the mandate.
As a result of this partnership, over 1,000 new healthcare workers reentered the workforce through these online reactivations and expedited applications in only two short weeks.
