Certified Dedication to Quality

Since 1968, System Automation Corporation (SA) has been dedicated to its mission of being one the nation’s premier information technology solution providers for commercial organizations and government agencies.

Specifically, SA develops and implements high quality, cost-effective business solutions that provide all its clients with state-of-the-art system components and user-friendly interfaces allowing the clients to become more productive.

Responding to ever changing requirements of today’s dynamic business, markets and industry needs, SA continues to explore the best known practices and methods to exploit different quality models for process definition and improvement.

The most effective and efficient combination of the elements from CMM and CMMI quality models have been incorporated within the SA’s Quality Management System. It supports software development lifecycle, project and product management, and corporate-wide continuous process improvement for all commercial and government initiatives.

SA Holds Two Recognized Quality Management Designations

Currently SA holds two internationally recognized quality management designations: SEI CMM Level 2, and SEI CMMI Level 2 (Staged Model) certifications.

Anyone familiar with the stringent set of evaluation factors for proving quality business operations will realize how extraordinary it is for a company to have this most comprehensive quality criteria established and certified.

SA has made a significant investment in defining processes, reviewing the quality of its work and delivered products, and continually improving current practices and performance throughout the whole corporation. Management and SA employees are involved in these quality processes and are committed to enforcing continuous refinement and improvement to achieve excellence at every opportunity in support of the Corporate Mission and Client Objectives.

The KEYSTONE PROJECT

The KEYSTONE project, developed as part of our Federal Division, is one of the first organizations in the country to achieve Level 2 rating under the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), Staged Model.

By establishing specific goals, CMMI provides the framework to help set process-improvement objectives and priorities and provides guidance for achieving those improvements.

CMMI supports modern software management techniques, and better ensures that key stakeholders are involved in the full development process. Achieving Level 2 certification indicates that the processes used to support KEYSTONE activities are planned, performed, measured, and controlled, and can be repeated to reduce risk and better ensure success on similar types of projects.

CMMI is replacing CMM as a key standard for implementing, assessing, and improving software processes. In recent years, the government has realized the importance and benefits of software process improvement; compliance with CMM and/or CMMI is now required on many government contracts.

"The quality we build into every product and deliver with every service is always a conscious goal, never an afterthought."
